Barn Conversion

A customer whose London house we had previously refurbished asked us to renovate a barn attached to his holiday home in the South of France. It had once been used for storing agriculture machinery but had been unused for years. We added a new floor to create extra living space, insulated the walls and ceiling and then installed new electrics, plumbing and heating.

The original windows were painstakingly restored, as were the old stone walls which took lots of care and attention. We plastered and painted throughout, layed new oak flooring throughout. The final unit comprised a large study, 2 bedrooms and 2 ensuite bathrooms. You can see the transformation in the pictures below. It was a long project, but worth it as the finished article was really very special.
